the 'On-Street Parking' facilities in the surrounding streets.
Parking:
Royal Leamington Spa now operates On-Street 'Pay
& Display', which is in operation throughout the town centre.
The
scheme generally runs between the hours of 08:00 - 20:00 however, there are
several roads including Bedford Street that operate from 08:00 - 18:00. Outside
of these times you can park free of charge.
Yellow Lines, Loading & Disabled Bays
Please be advised that if you park on a single or Double Yellow Line,
Disabled or a Loading Bay you will receive a parking fine which currently
stands at £30.
Loading & Unloading
We also know
that you are permitted by law to load and off load a car, van or truck on
Double Yellow Lines and Loading Bays. You are given 20 Minutes to do
this, as long as it is clear you are doing so. So those of you who wish
to pull up outside the studio doors and off load the kids and any change of
outfit you are legally allowed to do this, the same applies when you return to
collect your order, no need to find a parking spot.
Parking Wardens / Attendants
Although
widely seen as evil men and women carrying out the work of the devil himself, we
are pleased to say that with the exception of just one or two most of the
Traffic Wardens in Leamington and Warwick are very pleasant. Most will often
make a quick enquiry through the door and ask if the car parked outside our
front door is one that belongs to us or our customers. Generally in our
opinion the new parking has actually made it much easier for people popping in
to town for a spot of shopping, this time three years ago you would never be
able to find a parking spot!
PAY & DISPLAY:
£1.20 for 1 hour
£2.40 for 2 hours (not
all streets offer two hours some only allow one hour)
NOTE: Each parking meter
is registered to the street it is on. Do
not purchase a ticket from a machine that is on a different Street/Road,
you will be issued with a parking fine if a Traffic Warden is patrolling.
